Google Pixel Ambient display feature poised to get a huge update soon

Ambient display has moved from being a premium feature to something that nearly every Android device offers. With the feature now mainstream, Google is set to give it a huge update in the near future to improve the palm rejection ability of this feature.

Users can set the Ambient display on their Google Pixel phones to remain turned on always or do things like double-tapping, tilting, or lifting the phone to wake the feature.

Unfortunately, some users say the feature is dismissed far too easily to reveal the lock screen even when you want nothing on the lock screen.

In a future update, which we don’t know when it’ll arrive, Google has promised to improve the palm rejection ability of the Ambient display feature in a bid to reduce unintended wake ups (via XDA Developers).
