AT&T Samsung Galaxy Active S7 Active is receiving August security patch as version G891AUCS2BQH1

After receiving July security patch last month, AT&T is sending August security patch to Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Similar to the last update, the current update also doesn’t bring any major change except the August patch.

The update is an OTA update, which arrives as version number G891AUCS2BQH1. Since it is an OTA update it will reach your device automatically in some days, however, if you don’t receive the update, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

Meanwhile, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8 yesterday. It features a 6.3-inch QHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. A Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory powers it. It comes with a dual rear camera with OIS in both the camera. Further, it comes with new features such as live messaging and live focus.
