Action launcher beta update (v26) brings a bunch of Android O styles to current versions of Android

If you can’t wait for the official release of Android O and want Android O’s launcher related features on your current device, you should try Action Launcher app.

The true material design based launcher, Action Launcher, which is inspired from Pixel Launcher provides all Pixel launcher features on any device.

Action Launcher has received a new beta update of version 26 that brings many of Android O’s launcher features to current versions of Android. The features will work on devices running Android 5.1 or later.

First, the update brings full notification dots supports to Action Launcher (available on Plus version) besides introducing the new Android O style App Shortcuts panel UI. While Notification dots will be visible on the icons when you receive a new notification, long-pressing a shortcut will display a preview of notifications. And guess what? You can dismiss notifications from shortcuts itself.

The update also introduces the Android O style widget picker, where you can view all the widgets related to a particular app. The widget picker can be accessed via the new App Shortcuts UI.

Besides that, you can also replace an app’s icon or rename it quickly with the help of Quickedit feature located in the App Shortcuts UI accessed via the long press.

The update also brings a dedicated Icons & App shortcuts settings page, where you can access all icon and shortcuts related settings such as icon indicator style, icon pack, font, app shortcuts style etc. Last but not the least, the update introduces a revamped interface for selecting apps that are hidden from app drawers.
