T-Mobile S6 and S6 Edge Marshmallow Root

Rumor has it that T-Mobile will be releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Galaxy S6 and S6 edge anytime now.

Samsung has been beta testing the Marshmallow update on the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge for a month now in the UK, but of course, folks from other regions also found their way in on the beta test either unofficially or by tricking Samsung’s beta test programme.

Anyway, by the looks of things, it seems Samsung has the Marshmallow update ready for mass rollout now, and if rumors are to be trusted, T-Mobile might be the first to bring Marshmallow to S6 and S6 edge in the US.

Now, for the folks among us concerned of root access on S6/S6 edge Marshmallow firmware, let’s first happily inform you that it’s no trouble. Chainfire’s systemless root works great with Samsung’s beta Marshmallow firmware, so we’re sure it’ll also work with the final update like it’s working for Marshmallow update from other manufacturers as well.

All you need to do to root your T-Mobile S6 / S6 Edge Marshmallow update is get TWRP recovery installed on your device first, and then flash the latest SuperSU beta (v2.66+) via the recovery to get root access.

You can grab the latest SuperSU beta from the download link below. Also, if you need help with instructions, follow the how-to guide (linked below) as well.
