T-Mobile releases July security patch for Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus

T-Mobile is pushing a new update to its Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus handsets which is arriving with the software version N920TUVS4EQG1 and G928TUVS4EQG1 for both these handsets respectively.

The update installs the July security patch on both the devices alongside adding various system improvements.

The new OTA weighs around 25MB (for both the handsets) and can be installed over cellular data. Just make sure you are in a strong signal reception zone.

Alternatively, you can connect to a Wi-Fi network to download the July security patch on your handset.

In case you are wondering, you should automatically receive an update notification on your screen. However, if you want to check for the update manually, you can click on Settings and then About device.

T-Mobile recommends users to maintain at least 50% charge before installing the update. So, make sure to charge your device if you haven’t already.
