T-Mobile to Launch HTC Amaze 4G on October 12

T-Mobile just announced that it’s releasing the HTC Amaze 4G on October 12 with pre-orders beginning on Oct 10. Amaze 4G has been priced at $259.99 with a 2 year contract (and $50 as mail-in-rebate) — it’s a bit high and we think would fall down sooner than anything else.

Sure, Amaze 4G (also known as HTC Ruby) is a cool device — it boasts 4.3 inch Super LCD display with qHD display, whopping 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, NFC chip (to transfer funds, files, etc pretty easily wherever supported), Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.5 (whether or not you like it), 8 megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p shooting, HDMI-out, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, etc and on top of that, it will support T-Mobile’s 42+mbps capable 4G network.

But it’s still hard to recommend this over Galaxy SII variant that would be available at same day at T-Mobile, especially after we’ve used the global variant ourselves. Though, HTC fans, who are in love with the company’s metal builds and bulky form factor, will find it very hard to resist the Amaze 4G.
