T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 found at FCC, launching soon

A Samsung device with the model number SGH-T779 has shown up at the FCC and was approved a few hours ago, which has a T-Mobile logo at its back and support for T-Mobile’s 4G network, and Unwired View is of the opinion that this might be the T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 after they found that the mock image of the device on the FCC matched perfectly with the image of a Tab 2 10.1.

So it seems T-Mobile is soon going to start selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on its network with support for its 4G LTE service. We’ll expect the same specs as the normal international variant, which would include a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB RAM, 10.1-inch 800 x 1280 pixels display, 16/32GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 3.15MP rear camera and VGA front camera, a 7,000 mAh battery, and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Stay tuned for release and pricing info for the SGH-T779 “T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 2 10.1” as and when they are announced.
