T-Mobile Galaxy Note Edge receives its own Marshmallow update, finally!

A new OTA update has begun rolling out for the T-Mobile Note Edge users that brings the much-awaited Marshmallow update with some security fixes. The update comes with build no. N915TUVU2CPE3 — Odin firmware also available for manual installation — and is around 1.52 GB in size.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update brings to the device the cool thing we know as Doze mode that greatly increases the battery life of the device.

Moreover, you get advanced permissions control over apps, allowing you to allow and disallow apps permissions anytime. Google Now gets a serious boost with a new feature called ‘Now on Tap’ that reads your screen to get you suggestions (using Google search power) based on that.

The PE3 Marshmallow update for T-Mobile Galaxy Note Edge is a must install if you ask us, for the extra features and various significant under-the-hood improvements that 6.0 update comes loaded with.

The 6.0 gains even further importance because the device was never updated to Android 5.1.1 version, thus it’s a direct jump from way-old version Android 5.0.1 to Android 6.0.1.

So, hit up the ‘About device’ menu under Settings, and look up for system update now. Make sure you have 3GB or more space available on your device.

Moreover, if you are unable to download the OTA, you can download the full firmware using the link from downloadmirror (thanks guys!) provided at below link, along with the installation guide.
