T-Mobile Blackberry PRIV gets February security patch

T-Mobile has released a new software update for the BlackBerry Priv, but unfortunately, it is not the Nougat update. The new update is another one of those minor updates that installs the latest Android security patch.

The update was released on February 14 and the build number of the software is AAJ043. It installs the February Android security patch and is a recommended install. The software is available via OTA.

The BlackBerry Priv was launched in November 2015 with Android Lollipop on board. The Marshmallow update came more than 6 months late and now the same is happening with the Nougat update. The company hasn’t given any information about an update. However, it is still possible that the device gets the Nougat update in the coming months.

For now, download and install the latest security update, if you’re using the BlackBerry Priv on T-Mobile. As always, it is recommended that the phone has at least 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable WiFi or T-Mobile cellular network.
