Sprint Galaxy S8 update brings back single press to Bixby button, build AQDE

The Galaxy S8 units on Sprint network are receiving a new firmware update. The update is being rolled out over the air and brings changes in the Bixby launch procedure.

Arriving as build number AQDE, the new firmware update brings back single press to Bixby button on Sprint Galaxy S8 device. This means that Bixby on S8 can now be launched by pressing the dedicated Bixby button once.

Notably, Samsung had pushed an update earlier disabling the single press of the Bixby button to launch the Bixby AI. Instead, the update had introduced double press for Bixby button. Well, it seems with the new update rolling out to Sprint Galaxy S8, the single press procedure has been restored.

Another feature added by the new update to Galaxy S8 on Sprint is controls for screen edge color balance as well Full screen. This possibly should fix the red tint display of Galaxy S8. The issue has been plaguing Samsung’s flagship phone for quite some time now, following which the OEM has rolled out updates to fix it. Seems like, Sprint network has got it this time.
