Sony Xperia Yuga Specs Leak, could be the Xperia Nexus wth Android 4.2, 5″ 1080p display, 2 GB RAM and quad-core S4 processor
So we know Sony is working on a powerful Android phone similar to the likes of devices like the LG Optimus G, with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and the latest version of Android, all thanks to a benchmark that leaked a couple of days ago. Now the Sony “Yuga” has appeared in the NenaMark2 benchmark, according to which the device will feature a 1080p display!
The benchmark mentions a resolution of 1794×1080, indicating that the rest of the horizontal pixels are reserved for onscreen navigation buttons as is the default with Android 4.0+. Also, Chinese site it168 says that the display will be a 5-inch unit, with other specs of the device to include 2GB of RAM, 16 megapixel camera with Exmor R CMOS sensor, 32GB internal storage and a microSD slot, 2500 or 2800 mAh battery, and Android 4.2, which could mean that the Yuga could be Sony’s Nexus device (even though a microSD slot seems unlikely for a Nexus), or simply a device that Sony is working on to compete with other manufacturers.
The processor and display are two things that the benchmarks confirm, and it remains to be seen what else gets confirmed or rumored in the coming days. We wouldn’t say no to a high-end device like the Yuga from the most open source-friendly Android manufacturer, nor to a Nexus made by them, so here’s hoping there is some more info on this soon.
