Sony and LG did not unveil their flagship models at the MWC 2014 tech show keeping the suspense for the second quarter of the year. Every now and then we have been hearing about these smartphones via rumors and speculations and have also witnessed some leaks showing their possible features and hardware. Now, the GFXBench database has revealed the possible specifications of these premium smartphones.
Going by the listing, the Sony Xperia Z4 with the model number E6553 is likely to arrive with a Full HD 1080p display and draw its power from a 1.9 GHz octa core Snapdragon 810 processor supplemented by 3 GB of RAM. The device is claimed to run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and boast of a 20 MP main snapper and a 5 MP front facing shooter. The device is said to boast of 32 GB of native storage space and NFC along with usual connectivity aspects.
When it comes to the listing of the upcoming LG flagship smartphone LG G4, the smartphone is fitted with a 5.5 inch Quad HD 1440p display and employ a 1.8 GHz hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor aided by 3 GB of RAM. The LG G4 is listed to pack in 32 GB of default memory capacity and feature a 16 MP main snapper and an 8 MP front facing shooter. Other goodies of the device include NFC and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
From the listing, it is clear that Sony has not incorporated much changes in the innards of the Xperia Z4 when compared to those of the Xperia Z3 except for the Snapdragon 810 SoC. It has also improved the chipset, but it is surprising to see a different chipset than the Snapdragon 810 as the firm used it in the LG G Flex 2. This indicates that the curved smartphone will be marketed as the firm’s flagship device this time.
The other details pertaining to the LG G4 and Sony Xperia Z4 remain unknown and we will get to know more information regarding them when they are announced officially.
