The Sony Xperia Z smartphone was confirmed to receive the Android Lollipop update alongside a few other devices. Now, the firm has come up with a date of when we can expect the same.
Well, Sony Philippines has let out the first date of when the users of Xperia Z can expect to receive the Android Lollipop update. It was revealed via Twitter that the update will begin rolling out in the next week.
Recently, an XDA user also confirmed the same. Given the strong track record of the source, it was expected that the Xperia firmware update will arrive by the end of this week.
Sony has been revealing that it will rollout the Android Lollipop update to a slew of its Xperia Z lineup of devices. The firm assured that all the devices launched in the lineup since the year 2013 will receive the update.
