Sony Xperia XZs price revealed

The Xperia XZs can be considered as a minor performance upgrade over the Xperia XZ. Sony unveiled the device at MWC back in February, but it remained tight lipped on pricing, but thanks to a leak appearing today, we now have an idea of the Xperia XZs price, said to be 4699 Yuan in China, which translates to roughly US $679.

On a direct side by side comparison the Xperia  XZ and the Xperia XZs basically look the same, inside and out. Thankfully, Sony announced the XZ Premium too, which would carry the Snapdragon 835 processor at heart, you so you do have a choice if you want the best performance.

Packing in Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM (being the only upgrade over the XZ 2016), a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 2900mAh battery, the Xperia XZs doesn’t seem to make the cut for today’s flagships, but even if its fills the space right below the XZ Premium, it’s hard to know for certain why Sony needed to update its Xperia XZ 2016 in such fashion.

With a thickness of 8.1mm and a 1080p display, the Xperai XZs seems to be like any yesteryear smartphone out there. The device does sport Sony’s indigenous camera sensors at 19MP from the rear shooter and a good 13MP for the selfie camera.

What is new with the Xperia XZs, is that Sony will be shipping the device with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Top that off with IP68 water and dust resistance, you’ve got quite a powerful device in your hand.

The device is expected to be launched on April 5th which doesn’t seem to be too far off. Maybe we could see the actual upcoming flagships by then too.
