After a couple of leaks and rumors, the successor of Sony Xperia XA, supposedly called Xperia XA2 (or may be Sony Keyaki?) has finally landed at FCC, hinting at an imminent launch. Although the FCC certification, doesn’t prove much of a help as far as the identification of the device or specsheet is concerned, going by the looks of it and comparing it with previously leaked photos, it stands close to being Xperia XA2.
As seen in the image above, the FCC document reveals the placement of the FCC ID on a hidden label, adjacent to the SIM slot. The front side of the device is visible with FCC ID PY7-84773W.

Coming to the specs, the FCC certification doesn’t entertain us much, in fact none at all. But we did have our hands on some spy shots of the alleged Xperia XA2 early on. It is reported to be powered by MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, 4GB RAM, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the camera front, the phone is likely to flaunt a 23MP f/2.0 rear camera and a 16MP f/2.2 selfie snapper. The OS on board will be Android 7.0 Nougat OS. All these high-end features will cost CNY 2,200 ($320/€300).

Notably, Sony is gearing up to unveil a bumper crop of five new smartphones at the upcoming MWC event namely flagship phone Yoshino, BlancBright, Keyaki (zelkova), Hinoki (cypress), Mineo. Amongst these five, the specs of Sony Keyaki are similar in all aspects to Xperia XA2, which makes us logically guess that both are one and the same.
