Back in March, Sony announced the Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone at the MWC 2015 tech show in Barcelona. Now, the smartphone is available for purchase in the United States via Amazon. However, an official release of the smartphone in the region is yet to happen.
The retailer has listed the 8 GB unlocked version of the Xperia M4 Aqua carrying the model number E2203 for sale for a price of $349. There are very few units of the smartphone left in stock.
Notably, the 8 GB variant of the Sony smartphone seems to be not a great deal as it reportedly has only a very low 1.26 GB of user accessible memory capacity.
The Xperia M4 Aqua is a mid range smartphone that boasts of a quality plastic build and it boasts of the IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The smartphone is bestowed with a 5 inch display with HD 720p display and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It is powered by a 64 bit octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. There is expandable storage support up to 32 GB using a micro SD card slot and a 2,400 mAh battery pumps a decent backup to the smartphone.
For imaging, the Sony smartphone has a 13 MP main camera with Full HD 1080p video recording onboard the device and a front facing 5 MP HD 7200 selfie snapper as well.
