Sony planning a mid-range Jelly Bean Android phone, dubbed as C2105

Sony seems to be gearing up for its 2013 portfolio, and looks like it will bring a nice range of new devices next year. Xperia Blog reports that a new handset from Sony, model numbered C2105 has just emerged in GLBenchmark results. The device is said to be sporting a FWVGA screen resolution with a 480 x 791 resolution, and seems to have on-screen virtual buttons, which makes it the first of its kind from Sony.

The Sony C105 is also listed with a 1GHz CPU inside, most probably single-core, but the possibility of a dual-core chip like the NovaThor U8500 used in the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini cannot be entirely ruled out. The C105 also seems to have Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean loaded (firmware version 15.0.A.0.8).

The phone is expected to land on shelves next year as an entry- to mid-level device, on the same lines as the Xperia J which was launched this year. No other details are available at this point, and we would be updating you with more information as it comes by,
