Sony Odin photo sample found out, the device is visiting places for sure

Now that the suspense around what Google is likely to announce at the October 29th event is as good as lifted, we thought there wouldn’t be any more suspense for some time. But boy! were we wrong. The concept image of the Sony C650X may have been a fake, and so was the Nexus X leak that stirred up a ruckus. But a new image that was posted earlier today on Picasa, and has since been removed from there, seems to have re-ignited the buzz around the so-called Sony flagship phone for 2013, code-named Odin, and does lead us to believe that Odin is certainly getting around.

A re-upload of the same image that was hosted on Picasa, was apparently found at a Polish forum, and the EXIF data from the image told quite a story. The data confirms a 13 MP sensor, with the device model number C6503 – which seems to be consistent with what we think we know so far about Odin. The photo seems to have been captured yesterday, and the sensor reveals a maximum aperture value of 2.0, and that this image was shot under a 400 ISO and 1/8 shutter speed. With the kind of sensors, and image capture tech that Sony packs into their devices, all of this information does not really amount to much. But for all it’s worth, it does seem to indicate, that Sony is definitely up to something, and we should turn our Spider-sense on during the CES and later at MWC next year.

For those who missed the rumored specs, the Sony Odin will supposedly house a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, under a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display. With the HTC J Butterfly already out, Verizon’s HTC Deluxe on the way and Samsung said to be working on a new Full HD smartphone, 1080p display phones are definitely a reality. That being said, it makes perfect sense that Sony is not going to miss out on all the action. Can’t wait for 2013 to hit us.
