Shazam gets a fresh new look on Android

Shazam has updated their Android app with a new look and feel. The update is currently available for all supported Android devices. It doesn’t bring any new features as such, but the app does get a new look.

The design is much cleaner than before and navigation is easy. They have moved things around, but that shouldn’t be any problem. Ads are still there on the free version. The animations have also been improved.

The Auto-shazam option is now moved to the Settings page. However, you can also activate it by long pressing the Shazam button on the main page. It will then ask if you want to activate Auto-Shazam. Use this feature only when you’re around a lot of music, otherwise it may affect the battery life of your device.

The latest update is available for download right now. Check it out and let us know what you think of the new design. Do you use the Auto-Shazam feature often?

  1. And yet, the paid Encore version is still not updated with this new look. Why do they give free users priority?
