Sharp’s shows off new high PPI displays for phones and tabets

Sharp recently announced that their high PPI 1080p 5-inch displays would enter mass production soon, and now the electronics manufacturer has shown off the high PPI display for smartphones and also their IZO high PPI displays for tablets at the CEATEC exhibition in Japan.

The 5-inch display, as expected for touting a 1920×1080 resolution and 443ppi pixel density, is extremely sharp with clear text and great HD video viewing as reported by Blue Ringer Men. The display also has great viewing angles and is suitably vivid and bright.

In tablets, Sharp showed off both a 10.1-inch tablet as well as a 13.1-tablet, sporting the resolution of 2560×1600 and 2560×1400 pixels, for a pixel density of 299ppi and 221ppi respectively (higher than the iPad 3’s 264ppi in case of the former). Both displays use Sharp’s IGZO LCD technology and also support the use of a stylus. Like the smartphone display, both have good viewing angles and brightness.

Check out some pictures of the displays below.
