Samsung Stratosphere Specifications, Features and Price

Verizon Samsung Stratosphere

Verizon Wireless already has one cool Qwerty keyboard equipped device in Motorola Droid 3, but since it lacks the LTE support, it leaves a gap unfilled for people seeking LTE with physical keyboard. But Verizon has planned something — Samsung Stratosphere, which may not excite you as much because it lacks dual-core processor, but it’s got both Qwerty keyboard and 4G LTE onboard to justify its existence.

Samsung Stratosphere has been termed as mid-tier phone by Verizon Wireless, and it’s proven by the phone’s spec-sheet:

  • 1 GHz single-core processor
  • Android 2.3
  • 4 inch Super AMOLED Display with Gorilla Glass protection cover
  • 5 MP rear camera
  • 1.3 MP front facing camera (for video chats, and combing your hair)
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4G LTE
  • Qwerty physical sliding keyboard

It’s not wrong to say it’s very much like last year’s Samsung Epic 4G at Sprint, but for those Qwerty and LTE are a must, this is the phone to buy at Verizon. And if you want a dual-core qwerty phone with LTE, wait till Droid 4 hits stores, but this could take some 3-4 months to happen, at least.

Verizon has made two comparison charts: on with its own phones and other one competing the Stratosphere with like devices on market. Check them below:
