Samsung Galaxy Beam has finally been launched in the UK at a price-tag of £395 for the sim-free version ( $615 approx.). The device is the second attempt by the manufacturer to launch a projector-phone and packs a 15-lumen projector. Samsung had announced the phone back at the Mobile World Congress in February and it did take sometime to make it to the market!
The device has specs which shall place it in the mid range basically as it packs a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB RAM and $” WVGA screen and 8GB of internal memory. Otherwise the chief feature that gives it an edge is the 15-lumen projector that may appeal to many-a entertainment buff! Another thing worth noticing is the fact that Samsung have managed to maintain quite a thin waistline for this projector-phone.
Although this is not the first time that the Korean manufacturer is trying its hands in launching a projector phone, (the last one was a dud) something like this is definitely appreciable in terms of changes it can bring to personal convenience. For the time being, the UK folks are the only ones having this piece of cool device in their hands. Do check-in with us in the future for further details regarding availability in other countries.
