Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with LTE support launches on Verizon, price set at $499

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has already been available on T-Mobile and AT&T since a few days, and now will also be available with Verizon. The T-Mobile Tab 2 10.1 does not have LTE support though, and users will have to do with the 42mbps HSPA+ network for data connectivity on the move.

Verizon has roped in the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 just in time before the holidays begin, and will start shipping it from November 26th, with a price tag of $499. There is no subsidized contract pricing being offered, and users can choose a monthly data plan, or a Share Anything plan with tablet access, for LTE data connectivity on the move.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 sports a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor, 10.1″ PLS display (1280 x 800 pixels), 1GB RAM, 3 megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 7000 mAh battery, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (update to Android 4.1 planned).

If you’ve been planning to get a full-featured 10 inch tablet with LTE for data connectivity on the move, this could be a good choice.
