Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) receives unofficial Lineage OS 14.1

Lineage OS 14.1 is out for the Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon. Lineage OS is the company taking over CyanogenMod services. Support for existing CyanogenMod devices will be taken care of by the folks over at Lineage.

Lineage OS folks even have a website up and running now. If you’re interested in the status of their operations you can find updates about that there. Of course, this is also where all forthcoming Lineage ROMs (ported from CM) will be found.

Official Lineage OS is expected to be out by the first week of January with CM support officially coming to a halt on December 31st.

The procedure for flashing this ROM should be the same as the rest of the custom ROMs out there. Before you proceed, take caution and more importantly take backups.

Note: This is an experimental and unofficial build of Lineage OS. There could be some serious bugs/issues with this ROM which may not be suitable for everyday usage. Install/flash this ROM to your device at your own risk.

Download Android 7.1 Nougat Gapps
