Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE gets Release Date for Canada, coming soon at Bell and Telus

The Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE, an upgraded version of the original Galaxy Rugby, is on its way to Canadian carriers Bell and TELUS. According to leaked internal docs obtained by Mobile Syrup, Bell will start selling the device from November 1st, while TELUS will be bringing it to its customers some time at the “end of October”.

The Galaxy Rugby LTE (model number SGH-i547c), which was announced as the Galaxy Rugby Pro for AT&T, is water, shock and dust-proof thanks to military grade specifications, and features a 3.97″ WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, NFC, 1850 mAh battery, and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will be LTE-enabled and also support Bell’s upcoming Push-to-Talk (PTT) service, which is set to go live next year.

Pricing information hasn’t been released yet, though Mobile Syrup reports the the off-contract price will be somewhere around $450-$500. So, how many of you are interested in getting a rugged device such as the Galaxy Rugby LTE?
