Samsung Galaxy Premier Images leaked online. Confirms it’s not the Galaxy Nexus 2!

It’s not the first time we have come across a leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy Premier GT-I9260, but the one posted by @evleaks today on his Twitter account, is definitely a lot more clearer than the last one.

There was early speculation that the I9260 could possibly be the Galaxy Nexus 2, and it seemed to be logical given the model number progression from GT-I9250 to GT- I9260, as well as some of the leaked specs. The first leaked image was a little blurry, but still showed the Touchwiz interface on the homescreen, making it almost certain that this won’t be a Nexus device.

Now this latest image that @evleaks has put out is definitely clear enough to make out the Touchwiz Options bar at the top. And moreover, this image does seem a lot more real. Especially due to the yellow sticker at the top left, which shows the model as GT-I9260, with what is possibly a revision history indication – REV04 followed by a 3 digit number, and what appears to be a date on the last line – 12. 09. 27, probably indicating a revision date- 27th September 2012.

If this were to be a Nexus device, it would have been running pure, stock Android, without any traces of OEM overlays like Touchwiz. So that should put all the Galaxy Nexus 2 rumour mills to rest, at least as far as the I9260 is concerned, and we can confidently call it the Galaxy Premier hereon, which mind you, is also a rumored moniker, but should suffice for now.
