Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime gets January security patch update, build G570FXXU1AQA2

The Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime is getting a new security update that will install the latest January Android security patch. This is a budget smartphone that was released in September last year.

The latest software update carries the build number G570FXXU1AQA2 and is available as an OTA. Users can simply download and install the update to be safe from the latest Android malware. Because this installs a security patch, it is an important update.

The update is still based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we doubt if this device will ever be updated to Nougat. The J5 Prime features a 5-inch 720p display, an Exynos 7570 Quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2400 mAh battery.

In the camera department, there’s a 13MP shooter at the back, and a 5MP camera at the front. As always, before installing the update, make sure your smartphone is sufficiently charged and is connected to WiFi.
