Smasung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are remarkably powerful smartphones. But the high-cost of these devices make it difficult to reach many customers, who are still looking for budget-friendly devices from the Korean tech giant. And hence, the company has announced a new affordable Android smartphone, Galaxy J1.
The entry-level Android phone in the new Galaxy J series was first released in Malaysia and India last month and now, is arriving in Netherlands and Germany. Netherlands users can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy J1 for €120, while Germany users can opt it for €135.
The Galaxy J1 is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and packs a 4.3- inch WVGA LD display. The device is powered by a dual-core or a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor paired with 512MB RAM. Other goodies include 4GB internal storage, microSD card support, dual-SIM capability, 5MP rear camera, VGA secondary camera and an 1850 mAh battery.
Samsung has also announced a 4G LTE-enabled variant of J1 with better specs but it isn’t available yet.
