Galaxy C7 Pro to release on January 16, 2017 in China

The Galaxy C7 Pro had been making rounds in various leaks for quite a while, and now it is expected to finally surface. Originally Samsung had planned for a launch on the Chinese new year (around Jan 21, that is) but the release date turned out to be earlier than expected. Come January 16, Samsung would be unveiling the Galaxy C7 Pro in China, rumor has it.

As far as the internals of the device are concerned, it is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display resulting in a modest pixel density of 386ppi. The device is also expected to be running on the octa-core Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2.0GHz. The smartphone may come in two options: the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant, and 4GB RAM with 64GB on board storage variant. The device could also be featuring 16MP front and back cameras.

The Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to ship in three color variants: Gold, Pink Gold and Dark Gray, with Samsung hoping to aim the device at performance users. Whether the smartphone will ship with Nougat, but it looks highly likely right now as we think a Galaxy C7 firmware based on Android 7.0 is under testing right now.

Besides, we hope the popular Lineage OS ROM makes the cut to Galaxy C7 Pro too, which would make bring lot of customization choices to the device. You can download Lineage OS ROM here.

Samsung could probably update the C series devices at the same time. If that were to take place then we could expect the C7 Pro to receive Nougat by the coming month or so.
