Samsung Galaxy C7 gets February security update, build C7000ZHU2AQB1

It seems like Samsung has dedicated the entire day to security updates. The latest handset to receive the February security patch is the Samsung Galaxy C7 handset (CM-C7000) from them, which has remained loyal to our Chinese friends its entire life, nut Samsung followed it up with another variant C7 Pro (CM-C7010), available in China and Hong Kong so far, but could hit India and Europe pretty soon, maybe as SM-C7018.

Coming in as a firmware update with build number C7000ZHU2AQB1, the February security update also takes care of some of the stability and performance issues. It also fixes a few bugs which were residing in the previous build.

Last month, rumor had it that the Galaxy C7 Pro will be soon made available in markets other than China as a support page for the handset went live on Samsung’s Hong Kong website. Although a particular time frame for the launch has not been revealed yet, the fact that a support page went live was good enough to conclude that the handset will be launched in other markets outside China.

As is the case with other handsets in the Galaxy C series of smartphones, the Galaxy C7 features a 16MP camera with f/1.9 aperture at both front and back. It has a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED  display, Snapdragon 626 SoC, 4GB of RAM, either 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage space. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3300mAh battery.
