Samsung Galaxy A8 appears on FCC tipping imminent launch

The Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone has been circulating in rumors and speculations for a while. Now, it seems that the official launch of the smartphone is nearing as the device has been spotted on the U.S. regulatory database FCC.

The FCC listing does not reveal much about the Galaxy A8, but it confirms that the smartphone will arrive with dual band Wi-Fi, LTE and other standard connectivity options.

While we do not know much about the Galaxy A8, the ones that have come to light via rumors include a 5.7 inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display and an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor teamed up with 2 GB of RAM.

The imaging aspects of the alleged Galaxy A8 include a 16 MP main snapper at its back and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter. The device said to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and arrive with 16 GB of native storage space, a 5.9 mm metallic frame and a 3,050 mAh battery.

Lately, the Galaxy A8 surfaced on the Chinese certification authority TENAA and these specifications were confirmed. Now, the arrival on FCC has made it clear that Samsung will not take a long time to unveil the Galaxy A8.
