Looks like next year we are going to have some pretty cool gadgets from Samsung. Whether it is the upcoming Gear VR headset having the pixel density of 2000ppi or a wireless charging smartphone case that will charge Gear S watch.

Yup, apparently, Samsung has filed a patent in the US for a wireless smart watch charging smartphone case. This means, in the future, you could wireless charge your Gear S watch by just placing it on the new wireless charging smartphone case.

About the hardware, the back of the wireless charging smartphone case will house a power transmission coil and a USB-C type connector that links the case to a smartphone.

Although the new piece of tech looks amazing, currently we are not sure whether and when the wireless charging smartphone case will actually see the light of the day, since filing a patent doesn’t guarantee the actual release of the product.
