Rogers releases Huawei Nova Plus update with latest security patch

The Huawei Nova Plus is in line for a Marshmallow based update as revealed from Rogers update schedule. The update contains the latest security patch along with bug fixes, performance and stability improvements over the previous build.

Huawei had begun rolling out the Nougat beta firmware for the Nova a few weeks back, so based on that we could speculate that the Nova and the Nova Plus might get the update to Nougat around February or March. The Huawei Nova Plus which made its debut back in October features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 625.

With such specifications it has all the markings of today’s standard performance device. Thanks to Huawei’s good history with delivering updates on time, we can optimistically expect the smartphone to get Nougat update pretty soon.

Other Huawei devices currently in pipe for the official Nougat update includes: Mate 8, Honor 8, Honor 5C, P9, and other recent ones.
