Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 nears release!

Note 7

Guess what, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has just been cleared by Wi-Fi Alliance indicating that its launch is not far away. Yes, you read that right!

The original Galaxy Note 7 alongside a refurbished model carrying model numbers SM-N930F and SM-N935S respectively stopped by at the Wi-Fi Alliance today. Both of them were running Android 7.0 Nougat.

We are not sure why the original Galaxy Note 7 is back again in the picture. Perhaps the company is planning to disable the rest of Note 7 handsets before launching the refurbished model as noted by the folks at Android Headlines.

Read: Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 confirmed by Samsung, could be named either ‘Galaxy Note R’ or ‘Galaxy Note 7R’

Speaking of which, the company is expected to launch the smartphone with a lower capacity battery. Rumors suggest at either the inclusion of a 3,000mAh or a 3,200mAh battery on the refurbished model.

Other specs, however, will remain the same. The company is expected to launch the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 in its home country, South Korea alongside a few other emerging countries which should include India considering it’s one of the biggest markets for Samsung.

  1. This is an interesting development!

  2. Really great! The note 7 was an amazing phone(albeit a bit too explosive :P). Hope this time all’s fine and good 🙂
Nobody does a phone with a stylus better 🙂

  3. Nice to see that Samsung is correcting its mistakes. The note 7 was a really nice phone the only issue was the battery explosions which took a huge toll on Samsung’s reputation in the market but now they’re back in track with their S8 series and now also seem to be correcting their previous note 7.Hopefully the price is much lower 😀

  4. I doubt they’ll make (much) money of this phone (it won’t sell for it’s original price, now will it?), but it’s better then writing it off and just losing money. Smart move Samsung. I also wonder if they’ll bring out a Note 8 this year.

  5. I do hope they reduce the price of that phone. Note 7 was a great phone, but it had some flaws, that would make it hard to sell :P.

  6. looks like if everything goes well, we might be seeing two Note devices this year from Samsung, only the price difference and specs difference will decide which Note will rule the smartphone market!!!

  13. The Note 7, although flawed, was still considered a fantastic phone to many who owned it. I could possibly see me getting one of these as well.

  14. its a great phone these time should be a excellence not explosive.

  19. A rather keen development. My theory on why they would do this is because it is like a clearance sale where they already had a lot of the note 7 components ready for assembly but was left unassembled since the sales stopped after explosions.
Now they are looking to do away with the components by refurbishing the device and selling it, mostly for a cheaper price. Not a bad idea at all and people get a chance to buy the note 7 if they still want to
