Redesigned Samsung Brand and Logo will be shown come CES 2013?

Samsung Logo

Looks like Samsung is all poised to get a total make over. It’s said to be revealed at the 2013 CES show in Las Vegas in January. They got it all perfect. With an amazing performance in terms of finances and major successes it was about time they revamped the whole image toasting to their tremendous success.

Samsung has roped in Scott Bedbury, a freeleance brand consultant who has helped Nike and Starbucks reimage their branding in the past. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Jones Soda, and CEO of Brandstream.

Adieu will be bid to the current blue logo and every product line might have their own color and would be coming under the roof of the larger Samsung family.

We all know how Samsung has inched itself poising to be portrayed as a global company from being an Asian brand for long.

These were some wise words shared by David Hill, vice president of design at Lenovo and author of the Design Matters blog.

“For design to have a major impact, it’s got to get involved at the strategic level, It can’t be an afterthought or superficial trappings to be put on post product creation. Samsung‘s brand became powerful only after they put a Chief Design Officer in place and made it a priority for the company. Now they are moving to expand the brand globally”.
