Play PSP Games on Android with PPSSPP emulator

Listen up, Android Gamers, we’ve got some great news for you. The people who developed the Wii emulator – Dolphin for PC, have created a new, fully working Sony Playstation Portable or PSP emulator for Android called PPSSPP.  Very soon, we will able to play a lot of those stunning games available for the PSP.

Although the current version is a full working, and plays a few games at full speed without any stuttering or lag, the project is still in its early stages. The UI is clean and crisp, and probably one of the best UIs on an Android emulator ever. Unfortunately, hardware key mapping is unsupported at this point, which is a slight setback for Xperia Play owners. Additionally, the regular PSP eboot files are also not supported for now, though PSP ISO files work just fine. But the good thing is that PPSSPP does not need a high-end handset to run, and will work with any handset which is OpenGL ES 2.0 ready.

Like we said before, the PPSSPP project is still in  its early days, and will only get better from here on. If you want to try it out, you can hit the download button below. And check out the video above, of PPSSPP in action while you wait for it to download Download PPSSPP Emulator
