OnePlus has released new beta software for as an OTA update for its 2016 flagship sets, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. Which means that the beta update channel has reached OxygenOS beta 16 for the OnePlus 3, while that for OnePlus 3T comes to OxygenOS beta 7 — yep, in case you’re keeping track, it’s the same update that was released in China yesterday for the local software dubbed as HydrogenOS.
Today’s update for both the device carries — as expected — same changelog, and is basically bug fixer update. In case you were wondering how the hell alarm didn’t ring at specified time, well, that shouldn’t happen anymore once you install today’s beta update that fixes Clock app for this.
Problem with duplicate contacts appearing after you update has also been taken care of with today’s update for OnePlus 3 and 3T, while searching through contacts has been improved too. The update also fixes display issues with dark and light themes on the devices, while apps force closing on you has been given a treatment too.

But, apart from all above, a new standout feature of this update is dedicated introduction of feedback app from OnePlus, User Feedback. This would help OnePlus gather better data and thus help you quickly and more efficiently. That said, battery use has been improved while there are various system level optimizations and general bug fixes that complete the update.

OnePlus 5
Company’s next flagship, thought to be called OnePlus 5, is one of the most talked about devices right now in the rumor mill. With OnePlus sharing a message dubbed Hello 5 on its Weibo account, it’s become safe to assume that it will skip the 4 moniker, and would launch OnePlus 5 directly after OnePlus 3 (yes, it does have a 3T, which is its 4th device in main flagship series).
The OnePlus 5 specs became known today thanks to AnTuTu leak, which reveals that it would sport Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, 5.5″ Full HD display, Android 7.1.1, and 16MP camera both at front and back.
We think there is a high-end variant of OnePlus 5 in the works too, which would boast 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5.5″ Quad HD display and perhaps, dual camera at back.
