OxygenOS 3.5.9 OTA update for OnePlus 2 rolling out now, fixes VoLTE issue

OnePlus has started rolling out a new incremental update for OxygenOS for OnePlus 2. The new update arrives as an OTA update with version number 3.5.9.

The last update to OnePlus 2 that arrived in March came with version number 3.5.8. As already mentioned this is an incremental update.

Since OnePlus 2 is based on Marshmallow, the Oxygen 3.5.9 update is also Marshmallow based. Unfortunately and sadly, OnePlus 2 will always remain on Marshmallow, as OnePlus won’t update it to Nougat.

The update primarily fixes VoLTE issue in OnePlus 2 and brings in many under-the-hood improvements. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
