Oppo R11 registrations reach 500K in 72 hours

The Oppo R11 was announced on June 9, and is up for registration for anyone interested in purchasing the device. According to the retail website JD.com, the Oppo R11 registrations have surpassed 500,000 units at the site within a 72-hour period.

The Oppo R11 features a 5.5-inch, Full HD AMOLED display with a 1,920 x 1,080p screen resolution, an octa-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 20MP HD+ 16MP dual rear camera combo, and a 2,900mAh battery.The Oppo R11 Plus comes with a 6-inch, Full HD AMOLED display, with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 4000mAh battery. The Oppo R11 and Oppo R11 Plus are designed for photography enthusiasts, with a camera comparison between the Oppo R11 and a digital camera in a new teaser.

The new Oppo R11 Guerlain Edition launched in China should only add to the registration numbers, but it’s interesting to see that the device’s popularity despite the absence of USB Type-C charging capabilities. The Android OEM still has an ace up its sleeve, with the imminent arrival of the mysterious Oppo R17 smartphone which only exists due to an IMEI number and phone moniker.
