OnePlus releases Android 7.1 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T in China under beta program

OnePlus is easily the most beloved company by the modding community right now. Dubbed as the ‘New Nexus’ on various occasions, the company just keeps on delivering on its promises. And keeping up with the prompt and timely updates, they have now begun rolling out the Android 7.1 update for their OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 in China, as this is the HydrogenOS that is receiving 7.1 upgrade, not the OxygenOS that is meant for global users, outside China.

When the OnePlus 3T came out, majority of OnePlus 3 users were worried that the device would meet an unexpected end in its software development cycle with just 6 months since its inception. But the company has done more than sufficient to allay these fears.

The Android 7.1 update is available as beta version 9 and beta version 3 for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T respectively, and while the OTA is under rollout too, you can even download the update for Chinese variants, as it’s available at HydrogenOS website, weighing in at 1.32GB.
