OnePlus 3T to be discontinued in Europe, North America and Hong Kong soon, later in India and China

The time has come to say goodbye to the OnePlus 3T. The smartphone is on its final lap now and will be discontinued soon from Europe, North America and Hong Kong, OnePlus revealed this in their weekly talk (give it a read at source link below, as they talk some interesting stuff). The online stores of OnePlus will soon run out of stock on OnePlus 3T, while the select retail outlets may keep selling until their stocks last.

The OnePlus 3T will be available at company’s online stores in India and China for a while longer, though, so if you were looking forward to purchasing the OnePlus 3T, now may be the best time to do so. Or you could just hang on and get the OnePlus 5 when it’s launched — which should happen soon.

The OnePlus 3T served as an incremental performance upgrade over the OnePlus 3 and wasn’t that different from the previous gen flagship either. The 3T was launched in November last year and the smartphone has had a good run for over 6 months now.

As for its successor, the OnePlus 5 is expected to be a game changer. The upcoming flagship has been filtered through many leaks and we’ve got a moderately clear picture of what’s coming. The OnePlus 5 has been confirmed to sport the Snapdragon 835 SoC by none other than the CEO of the company. This is a welcome change, as there wasn’t much to tell apart the OnePlus 3T from the OnePlus 3.

Rumors of the upcoming flagship featuring a dual lens setup are also gaining traction now. At then end of the day, the OnePlus 3T delivered on what it does best, which was to Never Settle. We hope its successor will take things up a notch (or two) and come to life as the next flagship killer.
