OnePlus 3T gets OxygenOS 4.0.1 update, with help on Play Store fix

OxygenOS 4.0.1 OTA for the OnePlus 3T is rolling out now, and while it doesn’t fixes the Play Store bug directly on OnePlus 7.0 update that came as OxygenOS 4.0, the team has provided instructions to fix it manually. While, you can find the full changelog of the 4.0.1 update in the screenshot above. If you are on Marshmallow, and have received the 7.0 update yet, you will receive the OxygenOS 4.0.1 update directly, skipping 4.0 build.

On OnePlus 3T, the Play Store app is currently plagued with the problem of app downloads failing, and this is localized to three specific apps: Truecaller, AVG Antivirus and PayTm. So users are advised to uninstall or force stop the above mentioned apps.

The issue also persists when the device goes on Data roaming, with the only temporary solution being to manually set the APN. Fluctuating WiFi connectivity issues are also prominent in this release.

Thanks to active feedback from the OnePlus community, these issues should be brought into consideration and should be fixed with the next update. The roll out remains incremental, with wider roll out coverage expected in the coming days.

With the developer preview for the OnePlus 3T being released yesterday, it shouldn’t be long before the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 2 also receive the OTA for Nougat.
