After revealing most of the features of the OnePlus 2, the manufacturer has come up with a couple of spec confirmations. A few members of the OnePlus team have taken to Reddit for an AMA session during which these new aspects were revealed.

Firstly, the picture that is posted above shows that the OnePlus 2 will be smaller than the OnePlus One launched last year. The other confirmations are that it will arrive with a 3,300 mAh battery that is nearly a 10 percent increase in the capacity in comparison to the 3,100 mAh battery in the OnePlus One.

The OnePlus 2 will not feature a heart rate sensor and there will be no fingerprint recognition on the touch screen as it will be present as a dedicated physical sensor as in the other smartphones.

Notably, the manufacturer has already confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will be made available only via an invite. The early supporters of the company will be prioritized. Lately, there are claims that the OnePlus 2 will be launched in three variants – A2001, A2003 and A2005. While one of these models will be meant for the Chinese market, the other two will be global models meant for the North American market and the European and Asian markets. The main difference between these will be the network band support.

The North American model of the OnePlus 2 will work on GSM 850, 900, 1800, and 1900MHz, WCDMA bands 1/2/4/5/8, and FDD-LTE bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17. On the other hand, the Asian and European model will support GSM 850, 900, 1800, and 1900MHz, WCDMA bands 1/2/5/8, and FDD-LTE bands 1/3/5/7/8/20.

The OnePlus 2’s hype will go on till July 27 as the device will be unveiled then in virtual reality for the first time in the history of product launches. The manufacturer will release a special Android app for the interested people to see the announcement with and without VR. Also, a recording will be uploaded to YouTube after the announcement for those without Android devices.
