OnePlus is highly anticipated to launch the OnePlus 2 that is the successor of its yesteryear flagship smartphone. Last year, the firm revealed bits and pieces of the OnePlus One’s details to the fans making them crave for more information. This madness has already commenced as the rumors and speculations of the upcoming smartphone have started getting announced.
The OnePlus 2 is claimed to launch with the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and Adreno 430 graphics unit. OnePlus claims to have implemented lots of testing with other chips, but the Snapdragon 810 managed to be their choice as it is the industry leader in terms of superior battery life, multi-tasking and speed.
This Snapdragon 810 chipset will enable immersive 3D gaming, 4K video recording, great camera performance and other aspects. The only major complaint about this chipset is that it is plagued by overheating problems.
Though this problem was shown up in the other devices using this SoC, OnePlus assures that there will not be any issue in the OnePlus 2 and that it will be cooler than ever. The reason is that they are using the Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 that has improvements in both hardware and software optimizations.
The other rumored specifications of the OnePlus 2 include 3 GB of RAM and a 5.5 inch Quad HD or Full HD display. The device is likely to be launched in two versions and carry a price tag between $300 and $400. We can expect OnePlus to reveal the other key specifications in bits and pieces gradually.
