Nokia P1 will be based on Sharp Aquos XX3, only with better specs

Recently, rumors about a new Nokia flagship called the P1 had surfaced on the interwebs. The rumors pointed to a device with the latest hardware that Nokia would announce at MWC next month.

According to the rumors, the Nokia P1 would be based on the Aquos XX3 smartphone from Sharp. It would have a similar design, but the internals would be high-end. The device would supposedly feature a Snapdragon 835 processor, a 5.3-inch full-HD display with Gorilla Glass 5, 6GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of internal storage and a 22.6MP rear camera.

Now that sounds like a real flagship, but we cannot be really sure if it’s all true. HMD Global had announced that they will indeed announce new Nokia smartphones at MWC 2017. One of these devices could be the flagship these rumors speak of.

Recently, there were other rumors and reports about a Nokia 8 smartphone, but that turned out to be false. So, we cannot guarantee the authenticity of these reports. The best thing we can do, is wait for a few more weeks to see what Nokia has in store for us.
