Nexus 10 Benchmarks scores are out, prove dual-core Exynos 5250 is no slouch

While the bunch of detailed pics and specs of the upcoming Samsung Nexus 10 posted by BriefMobile gave us all a pretty good idea of what  to expect, BriefMobile has now run the 10-inch beast through a couple of benchmark tests to show us the firepower this baby has. For those who came in late, the Nexus 10 packs the latest Exynos 5250 dual-core processor which handles all the heavy lifting with a Mali T-604 GPU for the graphics part.

Briefmobile have managed to get 2 screenshots of the Nexus 10 benchmark results on Sunspider and GLBenchmark. The software being used on the tablet, may not necessarily be the final version that will be on board when the Nexus 10 is finally released, and hence the benchmark results may not be the most accurate reflection of its capabilities. But here they are nevertheless.

The Nexus 10 scored 1370 ms on SunSpider, comfortably beating the quad-core Samsung Galaxy S III and the Snapdragon S4 Pro powered LG Optimus G. GLBenchmark scores however, showed that the Exynos 5250 in the Nexus 10 performed as well as the Snapdragon S4 Pro, and in a few cases the S4 Pro scored marginally better. Then again, the  comparison would actually make a lot more sense once the Nexus 10 comes out with its final version of the Android OS, and not on a pre-release test version.

Either way, it is clear that the Exynos 5250 is a heavy lifter, and we are eagerly awaiting the release of the Nexus 10, so that the great developer community can get down to creating some awesome ROMs which take full advantage of the power of the Nexus 10. We would like to see what the benchmark results have to say then.

    I refuse to believe that the Nexus 10 will be as ugly as the first images have shown. That just can’t be the final design language.
