After T-Mobile, Verizon is now rolling out the latest Android security patches to Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, and Galaxy S5 handsets via a software update.
Arriving with the firmware version G900VVRU2DQF2, N910VVRS2CQE, and N915VVRU2CQF2 for the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, and Note Edge respectively, the update brings along with it a bunch of bug fixes apart from the Android security patch.
The ring-back tone issue for non-Verizon phone calls has now been fixed with the update. It also fixes the issue where some of the users couldn’t make calls to non-Verizon customers.
The update has already been pushed over-the-air. In case you haven’t received the notification already, head straight to Settings > About phone > Software to check for the update manually.
As usual, back up your personal data and ensure you have enough charge left on your smartphone, at least 50% before installing the update.
