Netflix 5.0 and onward would be compatible with only Google certified devices

If you are a root user of Android, we have some bad news for you. Brace yourselves. Netflix has officially confirmed via its latest update that it is blocking rooted/unlocked users from downloading its app. In other words, Netflix is now compatible with only Google-certified devices.

Just last week rooted users had reported that they can’t find Netflix on the PlayStore and later it was confirmed by this update that Netflix won’t allow download for rooted users. But, if you download the Netflix app from 3rd party websites, it works fine. Also, if you have the app installed on your device, it still works. However, we are not sure, how and when Netflix will completely stop the support for rooted/unlocked devices.
