Nest app now supports Google Smart Lock

Formed by ex-Apple engineers, Nest Labs has pushed a new update to its popular app, Nest. The latest update now supports Google Smart Lock that lets you log in to your Nest app without the need to remember your password. The responsibility to remember your password is given to Google Smart Lock.

Besides that, the notification system has also been improved with new notifications. Nest Cam now lets you set notifications for motion activity and person alerts. Moreover, each family member can change the settings and set his or her own notifications.

Alongside the said additions, the app has an in-app catalog that lets you discover new works with Nest partner products.

The home automation app, Nest controls the Nest products such as programmable thermostats, smoke detectors, Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor and Dropcam. The name Nest gives a feeling of home, which is what the Nest products do – they protect your home. Nest was bought by Google in 2014 and continues to develop new and exciting products.
