Yesterday, the Nexus 9 received the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, but the device is not alone. Even Motorola has rolled out the update to the second generation Moto X smartphone. Initially, there is a soak test of the update in Brazil and it will soon be rolled out to all the Moto (2nd Gen) models.
As of now, Motorola has not revealed the details about when this update with the version number 23.11.14 will be hitting the carrier versions of the smartphone. The changelog of the update lists both the AT&T and unlocked versions of the device. The unlocked Pure Edition model of the Moto X (2nd Gen) might be the first variant to receive the update.
In addition to the changelog, Motorola seems to have given a special attention to the chop-chop Moto Actions gesture in order to activate the flashlight. There are several tweaks and fixes that will come with the Android 5.1 update.
